Oh my; Music and other things...

Have you ever felt so just relaxed and relieved you can't explain it? That's how I'm feeling right now: it's Spring Break, I'm pretty sure I'm going to have all A's this term, oh yeah the 3rd term is OVER, and I don't have to take any more finals (: How wonderful!

I'm not sure what I'll be doing over Spring Break but that's okay.

What do you like to listen to? I kinda listen to lots of things but probably mostly Christine music. It's really inspiring and I can praise God wherever I am! It's wonderful and always make me feel thankful and closer to God when I'm listening to it. There's a lot of music I don't like however.

I've been really surprised at how disgusting most of the popular music is. I song I heard in my friends care last night even had a cuss word in the name! Many songs are filled with filth and they have a clean name, or so it seems to me at first glance, so when it's not even a clean title it doesn't even give a good impression from the very beginning. I could barely stand to listen to the lyrics. Maybe people think I'm old fashioned and like that song said "Lighten up" but I won't ever lighten up because that's how God made me and if by lightening up they mean be more okay with sin then that's definitely never going to happen.

Sometimes I wonder what's the world coming to and how I think I was born in the wrong decade. Almost everyone nowadays thinks that it's okay to show a lot of your body, talk in a gross manner, not have high standards for yourself, and just "let loose" in other ways than just reading a good book and having some ice cream. I guess it just goes to show that people are more and more needing Jesus. Oh my, I'm glad to have some people in my life that agree with me though.

Going to such a large school makes things harder in cases like mine. I love all of my friends from school but it's just not the same as close friends that share my same values and ideals. If you're like me you know what I mean. It's nice just to know that there's other strong Christians at Wayzata but it's hard to really know that they're there when you don't know any of them! I guess I'll just keep praying about it more and more. God has some at school but I guess it will just take some time, after all it's His timing not ours, right? haha

Well, I'm very thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life, close friends or not, it's lovely to have people to talk and laugh with.
